Larry Biernacki has been the President/CEO of Arkansas Federal Credit Union (AFCU) since June 2005. AFCU is the largest credit union in Arkansas with over $800 million in assets and serving 83,000 members through thirteen full-service branches. Since arriving at AFCU, the organization has grown assets over $400 million in just under 5 years and membership has increased by over 20,000. Larry has spent over 30 years involved in the credit union/banking industry. He has held mid and senior management level positions in many different aspects of financial institution management, but heavily weighted in the lending area. He has successfully built and grown many different profitable direct and indirect portfolios including, automobile, marine, RV, home improvement, and manufactured housing. He has supervised as many as 200 employees. In addition, he has introduced, implemented, and trained staff on many different lending products and systems and has been responsible for innovative new products and enhancements being delivered to the marketplace.
Larry attended the National Installment Credit School in Norman, OK and the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.
