Expanding Horizons. Exploring Opportunities.
Discover Southwest CUNA Management School (SCMS) re-imagined. As we
pave the way toward creating the “next normal,” we are happy to offer
advanced learning options in a format that suits your lifestyle and
learning style.
- This year, SCMS has been transformed to
provide students a mix of virtual live and self-paced courses. With new
courses and faculty at the helm, the curriculum was redesigned from the
ground up and focuses on five pillars, including a deep dive into data
analytics:
- Adaptive Leadership
- Advocacy
- Collaboration
- Finance and Economics
- Stakeholder Experience
“SCMS
will provide an incredible opportunity for those seeking advanced
learning to enroll and balance the virtual experience and not be out of
the office for two weeks,” said Tamra Gaines, Cornerstone League vice
president of experiences and events.
Since the first class
in 1966, SCMS has evolved through the years to serve current and future
leaders. The school has always served an important role in building
professional networks and life-long friendships and will continue to do
so in new and innovative ways.
“2021 will be a mix of
virtual live and self-paced courses. For those who are familiar with
Canvas – either from pursuing advanced education or homeschooling
children – this is the academic experience platform we are using,” said
Janine McBee, SCMS director.
Some
familiar aspects of the curriculum remain: same commitment to
professional development, credit union growth, and fostering life-long
networks and friendships.
